Another great title, although I still prefer Minivac (everyone should give that a play).  The top down controls were tight and felt smooth and responsive. The sprite work is cute and the backgrounds for all of the levels were great.  I played in the browser which means that enemies off-screen get cut-out rather quickly which makes it hard to predict their movement direction (seems that movement is random rather than pre-determined paths).  Maybe this is better full-screen mode.  If their movement is following a path the player would feel less "cheated" because you can plan your movement based on their movement (hope that makes sense).  Also I would destroy bullets when they collide with walls, else you have to dodge bullets that are coming from an unseen enemy. Again it makes it feel unfair if you have to react to enemy behavior that is happening off-screen.  The death animation needs some more juiciness (but this is just a suggestion and not a gameplay issue per-se.  I enjoy your work a lot.  Good stuff!!

I appreciate a lot your feedback!

I'm planning on releasing an update someday... as of now, it contains more animations, minor fixes like enemy bullets colliding in walls so you don't need to worry about random bullets coming from nowhere, among other issues.

Hopefully you give it a try once the new version is up, again, thanks for the feedback! =)

Really cool game. Love trying to avoid the enemies. good thing there is a bunch of life.

I'm not sure if I finished the game or not. Exiting the game made me feel I did something wrong. The music was really really good and the mystery in the killed souls reminds me of MGS3.

Good job!

This is the best comment by far, it perfectly describes what this game achieves. It's 20 minutes of a simple but entertaining game (to a great extent, due to its intense difficulty), but at the same time it manages to leave you something and get you thinking with just a few lines of text and graphics. Amazing.

I really liked your game a lot! I think it really shines when it comes to the way you've set the setting. The visual aesthetics are so in sync with the music and feel of the game 10/10.

I also really like the way you used the theme. I thought the game was easy until I realized that the less enemies on the map (because I killed them) the more that would appear.

Really well done!

Thank you very much!

This comment just made my day :D

there is a small problem with those green monsters, whenever you kill one they duplicate... not sure if that is intendet

Making the enemies spawn twice is intentional (actually, that's the mechanic for this theme, less is more).

But I made a mistake: I had a limit for the monsters set to 50, I guess I took that off from the code and never added it again. My bad, sorry! :(

The game was way too hard for me. Also I can’t find anything about the theme in this game. But visuals, music, sfx are good.

Sorry to hear that :( I guess I need to learn how to balance difficulty. The theme is "less is more" = whenever you kill an enemy, it respawns twice, but their spawn position is at the end of the level, so you make your path difficult by killing enemies.

Super fun feels like a game boy game for me and the music is perfect for the game

:)

Excellent, thanks! That was the intention, the GameBoy feeling.

I think this game is very good, addictive and the music is spot on for these kinda games. Great job :)

Thanks! Yeah, I did my best to create the music =)
